i have to find it on other website since you just give the extractor, but no .cab (which it says it needs)

Re-download updated Nimi Visuals package and try again.

Explanation:
Package distributed via official website is SFX archive. As new Nimi Visuals was expected to be released in April (yes there is a delay) it was decided not to update SFX extractor to newest (with fixed extraction bug that some Users experienced) alone. Nevertheless, considering that new version of Nimi Visuals won't be (unless some technical implementation boost) released in next 2 weeks - today SFX extractor was updated alone overall.

Seems that that ticket was set as an expired when download system went available again after update. (download Nimi Visuals)

Regarding Your request on distribution as plain zip archive - Nimi Visuals is officially distributed in SFX package, not in any other way/format.

Also speaking privately - when complaining on lack of direct download, consider that bandwidth ain't free and direct download was abused in past. Maybe current is not perfect solution, but every has some drawback.

In order:

  1. First of all - Nimi website.

  2. Multiple reasons.

  3. No it's not - however, if there is one person that consider it as such, it's enough to have that overlooked.

  4. No idea what You mean, but from sounds of it I guess answer is no?

  5. 2 days ago download script got quick fix to work during migration to new download system - most likely something went wrong in the middle of the process. On bright side - new system will be available later today, and it's way better than current one from what I've seen.
    • There are trade off's between performance, privacy and security. I can only say that as far as I know new script brings some improvements on that field.

    • Taste issue - some prefer such, some don't. I agree that it might require a second or two to get used to, but in matter of ergonomics it's positive - as there is single static navigation bar. Although I agree, that noticeability could be improved, like by few tweaks, but that would have to be voted over (as background: last year NV had same menu, NP still has - NWC other hand brought few changes to those)



Oh and as cheer up - soon as page update rolls out, and new NP released - NV will get new components.
